 Abstract Management System

Use the Abstract Management System to submit and manage your contribution. Please select a topic and the type of contribution you would like to submit (lecture, oral-poster or poster). Enter the title, a short description and the author information.

You can edit your contribution at any time until the final submission and upload documents like your poster or the pdf of your abstract after submission.

The conference will be held as a hybrid event, on-site in Plankstetten (Bavaria) and online. For better planning of the conference, we kindly ask you to indicate in your submission if you plan to travel to Plankstetten (Bavaria) for the DisoMAT 2023 or if you plan to attend the event virtually. We will consider this information for scheduling the scientific program regarding different time zones.

Guidelines for the presentation of your contribution

Presentation of a Lecture

  • Presentation as PowerPoint or PDF, preferably in 16:9 format.
  • The presentation language is English. Please prepare all your documents and slides in English.
  • The duration of a presentation is 20 minutes (including questions and answers).
  • The event will take place live. We will try to time all presentations accordingly so that the respective author can give the presentation live in his/her time zone.
  • Prior to the event, we will offer several test dates where you can test your setup (screen, microphone and camera) to avoid problems during the event. You will be notified of these dates in a timely manner.
  • There are no specifications or guidelines for the design of your slides. Nevertheless, we ask you to keep the area marked in the template on your slides free, as your video/image will automatically be displayed at this place during the presentation. This would otherwise obscure important information. You can download the template here:

Presentation Template

  • On-site presentations: Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive. You may not use your own equipment for your presentation.
  • Online presentations: Log in to our event platform and use your hardware (computer, webcam, microphone or headset (preferred)). Presentations do not need to be uploaded in advance. In case of poor internet connection, you can send us a video of your presentation in advance and we will play it at the specified times.

Presentation of a Poster

  • Please create your poster in portrait format, size DIN A0.
  • Please prepare your poster as JPG file for the virtual poster hall and upload the file one week before the event starts. Use the "Abstract Management System" to upload your poster. The maximum size of the poster file must not exceed 25 MB.
  • We offer the possibility to upload a pre-recorded poster pitch video, which can be accessed via the event platform. The video must be uploaded in .mp4 format and must not exceed the maximum size of 150 MB. For a program to convert the video to .mp4 or reduce the file size, we recommend "Handbrake".
  • Additional information for on-site participation: Please bring your already uploaded poster printed in A0 format to the event.

Presentation of an Oral-Poster

  • Please prepare your short presentation on your poster according to the guidelines for presenting a Lecture. The time for an oral-poster-presentation is 5 minutes (without subsequent discussion round).
  • In addition, please refer to the guidelines for presenting a Poster.
